Are Buddy Club seat sliders really the best available?

I got a used bc bracket with a seat i bought. At the track I met some s2k owner and we're were talking. He asked if I welded them cause he heard they can break. Not knowing I said no and gave him a confused look. He gave me a oh shit look and told me to look into it. I researched and had my friend weld up everything. Next track day the side L bracket bent. Slider also doesn't work that well once bolted down but might just need more adjustment.

My buddyclub rails broke at the base. They have been proven to be garbage. Unless your ok with buying rails and having them re-welded.

BC rails are certainly not the best but they work just fine for DE/TT.

After seeing the seat belt bracket fall off, I wouldn't even use them to buckle in my dog for a trip to the park.

Until they break... Why would it matter if its a DE, W2W or getting groceries? I dont want weak spot welds with many failures holding my seat in place.

W2W typically require seats mounted to a steel floor pan with reinforcements.

A seat rail that is welded together is a terrible idea.

The Ballade are by far the best in my opinion. And is why I am running them on my car.

for those of you concerned about the seat belt bracket breaking off, you're not even supposed to use it as a mounting point for a seat belt...the lap belts should be bolted to the car. you can at least utilize one of the holes on each seat to mount one lap belt, but the other must be drilled into the car... and obviously the shoulder belts are mounted to a roll bar.

yeah, the seat belt bracket is there if you wanna half ass mounting your harness. I can see how someone who is only driving on the street would be willing to use it, but that alone is a stupid idea because why would you want to risk your health by not mounting your harness properly?

i have these rails on both sides, had them welded [again] where the BC welds are and they've held up fine. I've had to tighten them up after so long but that's nothing out of the norm. they're probably not the best on the market but they at least get the job done once you have the welds touched up with real welds.

Just curious, what seat are you using with the PCI mounts? I have Recaro PPs.
