Hey Craig, yep ... my son will be there, but we will both be driving my car. I look forward to hearing the roar of the Z06 as it passes me. Glad you enjoyed the short video.

Krazik, I'm thinking about going to the Laguna Seca event. I need to rearrange some other commitments to free up the day. Is Laguna a place where a weekend wally like me can have some fun? I noticed the SV description recommended it for intermediate drivers and I'm pretty much a nub.

Absolutley. I took my dad out there a year ago for his first ever trackday. Sure there are walls, but if you drive within your limits its all fine.

If you want, you can park your car up here at my place and fly in/out of San Jose airport.

Also NASA is running Sears Point the Sat/Sun following.

Okay, I'm sold! I need to rearrange my schedule a bit to make it, but hopefully that will be easy enough. Appreciate the offer to park the car at your house, but I'm too concerned about the go-fast-Lab taking off with my car. I'm garaging the car in San Mateo for the winter so I'll just be driving it down. I'll take you up on the barbecue though.

Where can I get details on the NASA event? Should I do that event or big willow? I want to do as many events as possible out here before I drive the car back to Utah in Mar.

Laguna scared me silly when I did a parade/line_learning couple of laps at the start of the day. Very intimidating.

But I grabbed a good instructor for my first session, and he really helped me get over the intimidation of the track and just remember to drive. He also gave me some key visual reference points.

The next three sessions were all pure fun, some of the best track sessions I've ever done.

Speedventures is perfect for track novices. Being able to drive on Laguna Seca track: 'priceless'!
