Anyone know where I could get Toyo R888s for cheap? I need 4 x 255/50 17s.
You can try Evasive. I think that they carry or can at least get Toyo tires for ya.

However I'd get NT01s from Discount Tires Direct. No tax...Free shipping...Usually a $20 discount at checkout....AND you get an $80.00 or $20.00 per tire discount when you send / fax your receipt to Aaron @ SV!!! Now that's a deal Probably save you about 200+ bucks.

I have yet to speak to Aaron this morning. I'll ask him about this.

Our prior agreement was that I was to get about 25 people interested and he was going to try to get a another 10-15 cars max on his end. We were shooting for about 35 cars, more or less, for that date. I'll keep you posted after speaking to him.
I wonder how this is going to work with the run groups (beginner, intermediate, & advanced)? I'd hate to see one group over crowded or drivers not properly classed.

We'll figure it out. If there is an onslaught of intermediate drivers, then we'll have two of those groups with one advanced, or two advanced and two intermediate, etc...

Even if we get stuck in a slow run group, it's always easy to switch run groups with SpeedVentures. I usually just walk up to Aaron and trade one bracelet for another. Easy as 1-2-3!

But isn't the point to have fewer run groups and fewer people in the run groups? Isn't that why it's $250 with timing? I'm really interested in going, but if it's going to be like any other SV event, I'd rather go one day early on Sunday and save $100.

That's kinda what I was getting to as well cause there is no way to know the skill level of the other drivers....If we fill up more than 50% of the field with s2ks then the normal skill level may be lacking (as in the normal crowd will not be there) and beginner drivers my think that they are intermediate drivers and intermediate drivers are gonna stat running in the advanced group and the whole thing could get out of whack and potentially dangerous, its not wroth 250 beans to be frustrated all day IMO......at the same time though if the majority of the field is at the same skill level, regardless of what it is then its not going to be fair for all.

I guess the only thing we can do is show up and run and if its clear that its not working then Aaron will have to either move drivers up or down and make the others aware.

I personally switch groups all the time or run extra sessions with SV. Slow cars are not the problem....Traffic and blind drivers are.....Nothing is more frustrating than when driver just doesn't let you by and its clear that they don't belong in the group which make it scary passing cause they are so unpredictable.

Aaron runs good programs and his download sessions always help to make the experience that much more enjoyable for everyone. If there are slower/blind/inexperienced drivers in the wrong run groups, we can easily approach Aaron about it. He's good about making changes.

I switch run groups all the time as well. We'll be just fine and this will certainly be good track event.

On another note:
Aaron has yet to respond to my email and his voicemail is full. I hope everything is okay.
