Usually there are about 10 regulars + beginners in the mix. Many from s2ki have proven S2000 a very capable track car, and some of them are among the best drivers, therefore more and more S to follow.
The biggest thing out East preventing people from getting on the track is the roll bar requirement. No options have been available, until recently, and people are still reluctant to cut plastic and metal to get it installed, understandably. This past weekend at Summit Point they had 8 or so S2000's show up at an event that allowed OEM hoops. The good part about having low S2000 turnouts is that you are THE S2000 driver, and you'll usually have a lot people coming up to you asking questions. It's fun to be piloting the underdog car.
