Hey guys, I want to sort out my car for auto-x and I am thinking of renting the marina facility for a day and was wondering if any of the CA folks are interested.

The date would be on a saturday, TBD. Hopefully in the next few weeks, attendance by invite only.

Open to all car makes.

I'd hope to get 5-10 people interested and we would split the facility rental cost. (should be ~$50-100 person).

I'd bring cones, probably not enuf for a full course but enuf to make sections to test on.

Timing would be hot lapp based so you'd need a hot lap, or stopwatch. The day's focus would be about sorting out your cars.

I know its a trek for some of the socal folks, but it's a great chance to get out and sort out your demons w/o being limited to 3-4 runs

Where's this Marina facility? I might be willing to make the trek depending on the date. I've never been to one of those cone dodging things so it might be interesting

I would be interested. I'm not sure that Marina is ideal for a test-n-tune unless you only run at Marina. Cars seem to understeer more there than anywhere else. I would still go just for the seat time, and to see that the adjustments on my new Konis do in general.

The Marina facility is just a couple miles north of Laguna Seca.

Strike, why not just come out to Fontana on the 29th? Not quite such a drive, ya know?

I'm in if next weekend. After that I'll be healing from shoulder surgery before I can do any more...probably for a month or two.

I do need some test time so let me know.

Thanks Ry,
Charles

There's always a practice (if you're fast enough to get in). I got 20+ runs at the full course at this past weekend's solo2 school, plus 15-20 runs at each of the 5 exercises on Saturday. I'd definitely consider coming if it weren't so damn far away.
