Camera Mounts?
Here are photos of a mount I made in about half an hour with 2" aluminum angle...

Those are some videos taking earlier this year at Texas World Speedway. They interesting thing is the variety of camera angles. I'm not satisfied with the picture quality, however - but maybe a shield to keep it out of direct sunlight would help.

I made a hard mount for my camera in about 5 five minutes using a 3/8" drill bit, a two-inch square metal plate, two 1/8" thick sheets of rubber, and a 50cent bolt. Slapped on a three way adjustable pod and I was good to go. The mount is right in front of the windscreen.

I think tims2k is clearing out the remaining stock of their camera mount. Check over in the for sale forum.
I have one of those, and it's pretty nice; it uses the stock windscreen holes, and can support up to three cameras.
