Default CCVT

Hey, any CCVT enthusiasts out there give me a PM please. I'm trying to see what it's all about and what it takes to join. Thanks.

Seems to me you would get a better response by posting in a local forum. Most of us didn't even have a clue what CCVT stood for.

Idon't go to VT but I have a few friends who do. As far as I know they avoid the car club though so idk :-/

there are usually a lot of CCVT cars at the local SCCA autocrosses though (www.brr-scca.org go there for a schedule of events, forum, etc etc) so that would be a good way to meet some of them.

Will King used to autox an s2k in A-Stock in the region and he was part of CCVT (afaik... his s2k always had VT stickers on it for autox) and was a rather good driver. Maybe he's still on here?

I've found the CCVT guys to generally be pretty chill but I missed all of the last autox season (thanks VW lol) and a bunch of the poeple I knew from it graduated/are gone.

Ok thanks. I go to VTech often, and figured that'll be a good place to start autocross. I'm really just trying to start. I have no knowledge on what i need to do in order to autocross or track my car besides i need a helmet. I haven't met anybody who tracks their car, so if i'm able to talk to somebody in Virginia who can lead me in the right direction, that'll be great.

The BBR region of the SCCA is AWESOME for newcomers. I started autocrossing through them and everyone there was nothing but helpful and more than willing to make sure you had a good time. I highly recommend going to a couple of their events. If you can make it to Verona (literally right next to Staunton) on the 26th/27th its a 2 day event and saturday is a beginners school designed for novice/people new to autocross. You'll get classroom session and in car instruction throughout the day and will have an instructor with you the whole time. ITs a great thing to do and I plan on doing it again this year (first time driving a RWD in autox ) as its a great refresher and more seat time.
