please share w/ me how bbks are a requirement and if you're racing on budget you should be saving up for one. While you're at it please explain how they're better than stock.
Who mentioned BBK's? Are you trying to fabricate a false argument?

not at all, why don't you try with some facts to backup your statement.
Sure. For starters the Cayman out-brakes an s2000 when it comes to 60-0 distances by approx. 7 feet. The Cayman is heavier and I believe has re050a's. Looks there is some room for improvement here:

Not to drag this off topic any more than it already is... But testing not done on the same surface, same conditions, same day and same tires is pretty much meaningless for pure brake comparisons. And surely there are some differences between F/R and M/R cars, right

FWIW, the C10s pictured (and I suspect probably any C10 for a S2k) have more than enough caliper overhang clearance for any caliper I know of.

Uhm no. Like spaf said, what tires? surface? conditions?

The point tho of my first rant was that people say they're racing on a budget and can't buy the "required" things and save for the un-required ones.

I can tell you that w/ 275 front tires, 2500lbs and 320rwhp that the oem brakes can last and win a 30 minute sprint race at laguna seca with out breaking (pun intended) a sweat and beating all the other cars in the brake zone.

I don't think thats the point of a BBK, its being able to complete such stops lap after lap, in which case the oem s2k brakes are more than upto the job, well atleast with the amount of grip and power that 99% of run.

Stock brakes work very well.
Especially when you don't use them very much. 2 sets of pads all season in 2007?
FYI, it is the silver thing on the left of the go pedal.

Slow people just coast into the brake zones are don't use their brakes nearly hard enuf actually. And if a viper is close enuf for me to brake check them they're gonna drive right by me on the straight. Last thing you should do is slow mid corner when you have a high hp car on your ass.
