Default Cheap Track Wheels?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-NEW-17x9-...=item53e2abe835

I stumbled across these on ebay. After looking at many fitment threads here and wheel specs I think these can work. I've been tracking cars for about 5 years now and can't count how many wheels I've messed up with brake dust, curbs, hot rubber, etc. Will these work for a cheap heavy track wheel to run 255's square? Did I just score cheap beater track wheels for everyone or is there something I'm missing.

Edit: I posted in the track section as I doubt anyone would want to run these turds on the street...lol

I think these would be better. Same size and I think they would be lighter and easier to fit.

I always bought used OEM wheels, from people who were "upgrading." Typically cost around $300 for a set of four in good condition. I don't know if people sell them any more (I have a bunch of sets, but use them all), but you might try that if you're looking for good, inexpensive wheels for the track.

If you want a square setup, buy two sets, bore out one pair of rears, and then sell the four fronts to a Civic owner.

another vote for 2 sets of rears. I ended up buying my set of 4 for about 300 dollars also the offset will be much better than the ones you posted in the link.

I had problems finding someone locally to bore out my wheels when I was looking into that route. Ended up getting the TR Motorsports C3's. 17x9. Proper offset. Lighter than stock for only a little more but less work.

As for the wheels the OP mentioned. Sure they'll fit (if you want +45 offset) but how much do they weigh?
