Oops! Didn't realize I've never posted the video on the R&C forum. This was my personal best lap time at Pacific Raceways up in the NW. Here's my post on the local forum. Yes, it was an overlay from Gtech PC software output. The size of the gtech readout and "opacity" were totally controlled by me. Here's a higher quality version of the video. Save the 25MB mpg file first and then play. If you stream it, the sound may get out of sync. Check a bit down my thread on the Gtech Pro forum on how to create the overlay video.

Here's another one with Gtech RPM readout from another track day, coincidently exactly the same lap time but I was like half-sick driving. More details of my post on my local forum here.

For all the streetfire links, select "Switch to windows media player" and you'll get higher refresh rate. I hate flash player.

To get the sucker (I mean the suction cup) stuck on the windshield, follow Gtech's instruction EXACTLY. In particular, you have to back out both adjusting nuts all the way and press on them (not the housing) to squeeze out all the air. Only after that do you press the housing (make sure the undulating profile of the housing matches the undulating profile of the suction cup) to make sure air doesn't get back in while in the meantime tighten the adjusting nuts to create the vacuum. Double-check air seal by looking from outside the car a thick continous dark ring around the suction cup's circumference. That way I have had that thing stuck on the windshield for MONTHS without falling off.

Regarding lap times, I get from the digitized video and have verified with stopwatch and Gtech datalog by no more than 0.02s error.
