The Atlanta Region Solo II holds an event at a road course once a year and it's awesome. You'll see that I reach 8500rpms in third gear on the back straight before the finish. The course has two decent banks that you can just push and push. Excellent fun and if you've ever thought about doing the event, do it next year!

Yeah, since I started driving the S this season, I have been gaining on this guy who drives a 350z and I just can't beat him. I've been getting closer and closer every race and this time I was .6 seconds faster than him but that dang cone took it all away.

I've got this weekend to try again.

I see you signed up for the next SCR event... Maybe you should bring your 350Z rival along and I'll show you how to beat him!

Does your camera have an aux microphone input? I got a cheap computer mic. and have it sitting in the little mesh pocket in the passenger floorwell. You lose the wind-noise that way and it's a really cheap solution! Just a thought...

Man, good idea about the mic Garrett but it's just a cannon digi camera so I think I may try taping a piece of foam over the mic. I don't know if it'll work or not.

Yeah, you sould have come down for the event. You've got a place to stay if you want to do any Atlanta events. I've got a couple spare rooms.

The fist is just something I do to put fear into my competitors... naw, it's an expression of grief over the cone I hit in that slalom.

 

I appreciate the invite... keep me in mind anytime you know of a good course. It's a long trip for a 30 second first gear course, but I'd be interested in the bigger events!

 

That track is TGP. I did a track day there last year...very fun track and usually plenty of run off room should you lose the brakes.
