Default Coil cover

Does the coil cover keep the heat in or protect from the engine heat ? Basically do you track the car with cover on or off ?

I always removed it for track days. Doesn't hurt anything leaving it on but it does help keep the temps down on the coil packs if removed.
Might see a bit more longevity out of the densos.

mine is removed. mostly for weight savings (track stuff) and hoping it helps keep the coil packs cooler but I have no data to support if that is actually keeping them cooler.

^ same.
I'm on16yrs with 100+ track days. Replaced my coils last year due to misfires - was a bad plug - coils were still good. But, it's a good excuse to trim some weight - the cover is heavier than I thought.
