Default Coilovers...help please

Hey guys, ive had my s2k for a couple years now and im ready to take her off the street and drive her strictly on the track, possible with the occasional car show that i ay need to drive to. Ride comfort doesnt mean much to me, but if i can adjust to soften it up a little, that would be nice. I have read alot of threads and havent been able to find a up front answer on some prefered coilovers. I have been looking at Tein Super Racing, Kw Variant 3, and possible Bilstein.

Please tell me what you think

This is exactly how I should've asked my question. I am looking to find the same answer. But from what I have heard, KW is the best.

Tien SRC seems to be the most track orientated coilover out of the selection choices.

Neither the KW's or Bilstein (PSS9's?) are in the same ballpark.

Are you speaking from experience or just word of mouth Cause ive been reading alot of mixed reviews. Ive heard Tein has poor valving but i have no kind of experience with any of these systems.

I've always had higher end, monotube Teins on my Civic and two ITRs and no issues. With the S2000 I chose the KW Variant 3 and I'm very happy with them. I think between the two you can't go wrong. The Tein SRC is priced a little higher so you would get a better bang for your buck with the KWs. Both are very high quality.

If this is going to be a dual purpose car, and your looking at SRC's, you shouldn't rule out KW clubsports.

All this chatter about a street driven cars that may see the track....

The Tein, Billy's, and KW V3's from what I hear are a good street setup...

I am using the KW Comps and they are night and day differance from the V3...

If you are making a track/race car only I would go with KW's Comps Moton, JRZ, Or something along them lines right there....

I'd say pick a style and adjustment you like then get custom rates and valving. Almost all off the shelf spring rates induce understeer for safety purposes.
