Default Colorado Racers?

Anyone in Colorado have some track experience on HPR, PPIR, or PMP with their S2000s?

Lap times for stock S2000s?

I haven't been out yet in the S but with my Spec Miata and just was crocus what a stock S'er could do.

I believe "marcrx5" is in the CO area. He has some videos up from HPR, but in his RX7 not his S2000. He's very helpful and a very talented driver.

Not too sure about bone stock, but I went out this past weekend to HPR and was in the 2:15 range with Ohlins and a square set of 255s -- I'm not very quick though, so I'd bet similar times for a well driven bone stock S2000.

When my AP1 was stock-ish I pulled a 207 at HPR on RS3's a while back (more consistently in the 208 range). The car had an exhaust and about 100 pounds pulled out, I think I was on HP+ pads, and a MY00 FSB.

I have only been to PMP once and I managed a 147 on cycled out TD's.

All this talk is giving me the itch to go misbehave. These S2000s are really lovely enthusiast cars. I am driving my dad's 01 Z3 and it is sporty, but less precise. It makes me fall in love with the S2k all over again.

I've run HPR and PMP in my S2000, but never anywhere near stock. My typical setup has been STR preped (intake, header, HFC, exhaust, stiff springs with good shocks, Gendron FSB, MX5 RSB, 17x9 wheels) for the last several years. Weight has depended on the class I was running, between 2800 - 2850 lbs. At HPR I've run 2:06's on 255 RS3s, and 2:05's on horribly heat cycled out 225 R6s. At PMP I've run 1:45's on 255 RS3s and 1:44's on 14 heat cycle 245 R6s.

I have never been to PPIR, but I'm probably going in April with NASA Rocky Mountain.

I ran a 1:57.5 at HPR in my RX7, and I'm hoping for 1:54.xxx or better this year

Hey there. I haven't taken the S2000 to PMP or PPIR but we visit HPR from time to time. We usually post our outings on a different site. Mile High Chapter Feel free to join in bud.

When stock my CR was hitting about 2:10-2:11's. I've gone as quickly as the high 2:06's in roughly STR trim and usually hit 2:08-2:09 during the run of the mill track days.

The times vary drastically with the driver really.

If any of you guys are planning to make it any of the upcoming lapping days at HPR, maybe I can convince you to do some laps in my car and help me out in picking up some time?
