I had a 1st gen. bar - didn't crack but the adjustment bolt was frozen inside the bushing in the smaller bar. I've had the 2nd gen. bar nearly since it was available, probably have >45k miles on it, all on full stiff...
What are your impressions? What shocks/springs do you have? Tire sizes?
Stock shocks, RE01R street tires (205f/225r), typically V710 autocross tires (225f/265r).
I have no problem using the bar on full stiff on the street. The only thing I've ever noticed is cold creaking/clunking of the urethane bushings (I've never redone the Teflon tape nor greased them since I put the bar on)...
I have made the switch to a SFR bar this year, and it took several modifications to actually get it to fit with rubbing my shock bodies. Once I got it clear of the shocks it worked great.
I absolutely love my small fortune bar and have no major complaints as of now. TIs amazing how much of a handling difference it made on the car. Just the confidence in corners alone is worth it.
I like the Gendron bar but I really wish it didn't rub against the tie rod boots. I should probably get some new boots since rainy season is about to start.
I used a press to straighten the arms and get the endlinks away from the shock bodies. I cut two 1/8" spacers out of aluminum and placed them between the urethane bushing and the sway bar mounting bracket.
I also used a spacer between endlink and the sway bar to keep the endlink from binding. Finally, I had to add longer sleeves between the mounting bracket and the sway bar arm to prevent excessive lateral movement.
If this sounds like too much work, you can always have the end of sway bar arm milled to about 3/8" and be done with it.
