I think Andrie meant NT01. RS3 are faster than NT05.

On 255 RA1s, my minimum corner speed in T1 was around 93mph on my best lap last year. At that stage, race car was ~2750lbs with me in it. It has an AP2 motor with an 4.44 final drive. You can see the GPS measured speed on the G2X display on the dash in the video below.

I think people get too fixated on apex speed here. The better way is to find out what's your exit speed or your speed entering T2. If 4th gear gives you better acceleration and you end up in T2 at higher speed than keeping in 5th throughout T1, you're better off.

they're all the same thing andrie at your skill level. fast in, fast out. slow in fast out is good for a noob. If you are not not at redline in 4th at the apex you're slowing too much going in or you're got really tall rear tires.
