! Crunched S 2000 at Willow Springs !
As reported by Doug H. in his NSXfiles website http://www.nsxfiles.com/stories.htm , this yellow S2K being driven by some auto journalists went off-track at Willow Springs. Looks like a roll to me
. Let's be careful out there.

Looks to me like they ran into a barrel or something. I can't really figure out how a roll would bend in the middle of the windshield that much (maybe over onto a guardrail?) The one side doesn't look roached enough for a rollover either.
It could have been caused by a tire barrier that wasn't properly bolted together and separated. Anybody know anything about the setup at Willow?
The second picture does look like it might have ended up upside down on a rail or wall.

turn 3 is a 50-60mph left handed uphill turn, with decent banking. quite a challenge to lose it there unless you just decide not to brake, since you enter the braking zone at 90-100. No walls I can imagine him hitting unless he flew thru the dirt all the way up the hill into the corner worker station for 4. This is all assuming my memory serves me.

Josh has a point, turn 3 is an S2000 killer because you have to power up the hill on exit. You usually get stuck in 3rd at 4K RPM and have to limp up to turn 4 about 30 yards up the road (or make a 2 second downshift to 2nd). It would be a tough turn to loose it in. I can't think of any obstacles there.
