Great write-up and AWESOME template! Much appreciated!

Just wondered 2 things:

-couldn't figure out how to add the font files?
-and, any chance you're able to make a template w/ KPH and C? (sorry, canuck here!)

Thanks. Glad you like it.

For the font files it's very system specific. So you may have success looking up 'Windows add font' or 'Mac add font' etc. You will add them to your system and then they will appear as an option in your drop down.

For KPH and C it's actually very easy for you to change that in RaceRender. In the configuration dialog for your data file you can add 'custom fields' in their you can choose from some conversion options if you want like F->C or M->K. Might take a little poking around to find what I'm talking about.

Oh okay thanks - I got the coolant to read C instead of F now!

Looking at the "mph" though, that looks to be part of the original captured image - you wouldn't have had captured that image w/ "kph" by any chance? NBD otherwise, it makes it look like I'm driving faster w/ "mph". :)

When I showed some other members my vid, they were super excited to use your template: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6ME-VwGg3k

Ah lol. I see what you mean now. Yep it's part of the image. You could add an 'shape' to your layout that is essentially a black box that covers it. Then you can manually add text that says kph. Never thought about people wanting something other than MPH :p

LOL.

Well, here's a METRIC converted version of your template: https://www.dropbox.com/s/arla1mdv31...ic%29.rrt?dl=0

Do you think you could add it under yours in the first post so it's easy to find for all? Thanks!

I know this is an older post, but any update on an ap1 version? This overlay looks really cool! Also, will this work with track addict?

Thanks!

I use it with track addict but my sample rates are very poor. Im interested hear your setup and if you have sampling rate issues.

I also had sampling issues and I think it was something with Harry's laptimer. Seems like all the other guys using RaceChrono get much better sampling with similar hardware.

I'd love to make an AP1 version. What I need is a fairly hi-res, clear image of an AP1 gauge cluster right after you insert the key and all the bars are lit up. Similar to this picture but not green and ideally higher resolution: https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3305/3...81e3841c_b.jpg

Glad to see people are still enjoying it.

LDubz735, I will try to add that template to my original post as well. Thanks!
