Custom rear bulkhead?
A friend of mine owns a fabrication shop, building desert truck cages and chassis. I have been thinking about contacting him about building me a custom rear bulkhead to allow the use of my factory seatbelts while on the street and harnesses for the track. I have the Hard Dog bar with the lowered harness. I just thought I would ask for your opinions first? Thanks guys.
If you're doing a custom fab, then that's shouldn't be an issue. I have the OEM seatbelt custom mounted for the same reasons. The only thing to watch for is to get the seat belt reel to mount at the same angle as the OEM mounting. Mine are angled a little too much and it causes the lap belt to lock sometimes in normal use.

I am thinking some large clamps with a mounting plate for the anchor - though I think the OEM anchor is compromised if you run it as low as the bar w/o a similar drop is seat height. The anchor is meant to resist against lateral forces (it is mounted a similar height to the shoulder guide, IIRC) as opposed to lateral and vertical forces.
here's my setup. i keep the stock bulkhead for the stock seat belt. made a custom bracket to mount the shoulder harness to the bulkhead.
