They are actually using twin ceramic discs to increase the surface area while effectively keep the mass about the same.
Maybe we can expect this to trickle down in ~5 years

Interesting, Though i dont think it could be adapted to the S2K. If you notice in the pictures just how thick the sytem is i dont think it could fit into the space of the OEM system. Maybe with wheel spacers. Costs of pads will be significant.
