The latest sample on this is LE1605. The two other samples are Motul Gear 300 (75w90).

I should have another LE1605 sample shortly, as I just mailed one in a week ago.

I searched for diff fluids and found lots of recommendations, but I have an unusual situation. I'm changing the fluid in my daughter's car which will not be tracked and is unlikely to be driven in the winter; but it will live in Minnesota where it never gets hot.

My local parts house has Royal Purple 75w90 and 75w140. Is there any downside to using the heavier oil even if not tracked and in a cold climate?

Thanks.

Edit: MY01, 100k miles

Using Mobil1 75w140 next but I still have some Mobil1 75w90 left over. Would it be okay to top off the fill with 75w90 after the 140 runs out? Thanks.

occasional track and autocross duties.

I'd like to know what you guys are using.

Thanks in advance
I'm trying the Millers Oil next race.

I'll update how it is. I've fried about any oil I've ever put in the diff. One weekend and it comes out black and smelling burnt. Have been using Synergyn Syngear II for a while now but last race in the summer about 30mins in I could smell it pretty good so I started looking for better stuff.

PuddyDad recommends a 75W140 for all track cars. I also use the Mobil 1. I just spoke to him about this and he says the 90W is not heavy enough. He says a minimum of 110 for street cars as it won't sheer down quite as much.

+ 1 on Mobil 1 75W/140 for the stock differential (LS additive not needed for S2000)

I run OS Giken fluid in my puddymod built OS Giken LSD differential.

Hardtopguy no longer carries LE he has a link pointing to Amsoil severe gear 75w/110, is Mag Hytec and Ricks the best alternative suppliers for LE1605?
