Differential Issues at Track
Hey guys, I have a quick question for the track guys. I recently purchased another S2000 a few months back and have done all the maintenance on it. However I never got around to changing the diff fluid. At the track this past weekend the car was running great until I pulled it in to pack up and head home when the diff started to have issues of almost locking up. I was wandering if any of you have ever had an issue with the diff fluid heating up and cause resistance or locking up? I ran the last session for about an hour before I had the issue. Should I be worried that the could be internal damage to the differential or maybe the fluids just got to hot. On a side note, I drove the car today and had no issues at all moving. I'm gonna drain the fluid and hope for the best. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Austin

I've never heard of hot diff fluid causing diff lockup so I'm pretty sure you've got real mechanical problems. I would change the fluid to a high quality full synthetic but be prepared for a diff failure in the near future.
