Which to do first, or both at same time?

Default Which to do first, or both at same time?

I'll be installing a set of coilovers soon and was wondering what the procedure is for alignment and corner balancing. Also, what is a reasonable price for corner balancing?

Thanks

Both at same time. Best guy around here charges $200 and it takes a half-day (you should be in the car while it's done).

Thanks for the info - I think where I am I'm SOL as far as finding a place to get both done at once.

In that case I would first adjust the ride height, but then it probably doesn't matter too much in which order you do the cornerbalancing and alignment. Personally, I would do the alignment last as that is moore likely to have a more noticeable effect on handling than the cornerbalancing.

I always assumed the corner balancing should take place prior to the alignment.

An exception might be if the ride height was lowered significantly and the camber was way off because of that, then the alignment may affect the cornerweight. Just my thoughts. The proper way is to do them iteratively until both are correct, but that's usually only possible if you do them yourself.

Well, by "same time" I meant "same session". Not sure how you'd do them at the *actual same time* since the corner-balance is an iterative process -- adjust, weigh, readjust, weigh, readjust...

In reality my alignment guy does the corner-balance first, then the alignment immediately after.
