Default Do I need a stiffer front sway bar

I'm ordering in a set of KW V3's and possibly a set of 17X9 +45 wheels with 255/40 tires all around for the track. This will make the car tend to oversteer with the extra rubber up front. Do you guys think I need to get a stiffer front sway bar to counteract this effect? I'm on stock sways at the moment.

Thanks

A big front swaybar helped the handling characteristics of my '05 AP2 on the street and track. Since you are going non-staggered, I would at least get a stiffer front bar and appropriate alignment. A stiffer spring setup and good shocks would be best, but also cost much more...

You may not need the larger front sway bar since your KW V3s have the same spring rate all around. My memory of stock spring rates is hazy, but I believe moving to the same spring rate all around will cause a larger increase in roll stiffness at the front (than compared to the rear) and help compensate for the extra grip. Try it out without the bar. Handling will vary with driving technique and preference; we can't tell you exactly what will work for you and your car specifically.

are your intentions to track the car or is this a street setup?

The car will be used for both street and track days. It is not my daily driver though.

The motion ratio is in favor of the front wheel rate and roll stiffness getting higher faster with stiffer springs, but the stock fronts start off significantly stiffer than the stock rear. That's an interesting question.

Conservative alignment might be a good choice while testing the waters.
