Default does honda pay winners?

Does Honda have a contingency program for autocrossers. If so how does it work. And if Honda doesnt what aftermarket companies do. I believe I read somewhere that hoosier does. thanks

SCCA posts contingency information on their website.

http://www.scca.org/amateur/solo2/contingency.html

I don't see Honda info listed yet for 2003, but hopefully that's just not updated on the site. Last year they did pay decently (by Solo2 standards).

Speaking of which, Where do I get some honda stickers.... and how do you claim it. They dont' exactly have a web site dedicated to it like Hoosier. And that took me a little while to figure that out.

The contingency info for 2002 had a phone number to call to get stickers. The awards were payed by the SCCA. I'm sure one of the fastracks from last year has the phone # buried in it somewhere.

To be honest the thought never really crossed my mind untill one of those SCCA guys asked how Much I won. The PRO thing was easy they give it to you at the end of the event. I claimed the Hoosiers and I'm all excited first time i've ever gotten something out of racing other then a credit card bill. I have a gut feeling jason is going to be on fire this weekend and won't let me get away with it . Common Cones keep on falling.

Oh and I should add. Mark Allen spent about 30 min under my car with a tape messure last weekend. He then got out and said he'll have Koni DA's on for this weekend.

I'll be on fire if I ever make it to Florida... I missed check-in for my flite by FIVE minutes, and there was no-one at the desk to help me. So I'll be there late tonite.

Better be looking over your shoulder this weekend, Ian!

First off, congrats to Jason for a great perfromance at the Ft. Myers ProSolo. That's more like the Jason we know... Interested to hear how the S2000 launched against the Z4.

Next, has anyone found anything out about Honda contingency info? (not that it's really going to matter for me ) I remember last year there was a number to call, which I did, but never heard back. Hoosier was much more responsive in sending out their packet.

Driving a setup Civic Si in STS at the ProSolo, and I seem to remember the contingencies in that arena being rather fruitful. Don't want to miss out on any possible $$!

Well last year there was the "Honda Street Challenge", an additional weekend-ending challenge event with the cars in the "Street" classes SM, SM2, STS, and STX. The winner got $1000 I think, and there was a bonus if you did it in a Honda, $500 or so. That's in addition to the regular contingencies and payouts of having won your regular class. Quite an enchilada for the autocross circuit.

Fear of broken axles + possibility for $$ = JZR in a Civic Si.
