Default does nasa MA hpde require topdown on track at summit point?

as asked in title. im actually having my first track day, nasa hpde nov 3-4 at summit point. i recently seen someone advise that they require topdown regardless of rain/wether conditions. can anyone confirm this. the colder weather doesnt bother me, but if it rains or something i dont see how its even possible to drive like this.

anybody have input in this.

I haven't run with NASA Mid-A this year but last year and before they did require the soft top down no matter the weather. It's one of the reasons I finally bought a hard top.

But for instance its pouring rain that day. How could you possibly drive with the top down. Helmet wipers lol. Guess ill. Wait and see. Just feel as if it would be money wasted on track day if that were to happen.

NASA doesn't care if it's raining, it's your choice to go out or stay in the paddock. Other track organizations make you run soft top up

Do you have a roll bar postman?

Also if you go fast enough you don't get wet with the top down.

I've been running with NASA Mid-Atlantic for a while now and will confirm they do require the top to be down no matter what. When asked I've been told the rational for the rule is that if you flip with the top up there are chances that the metal soft top frame could break and stab your body or pierce through your helmet. That made a lot of sense to me so I made it a personal rule across all the groups I ran with (until I got a cage and hardtop).
Driving in the rain top down isn't bad at all, you might be surprised how dry you and your helmet can stay in the rain. The faster you go the less wet you get
