Jadrice would have been in the lead if it weren't for his 3 cones on his last run hahaha. Jadrice was down by about the same amount at the Lincoln Tour, and then on day 2 he whipped out his can of whoop azz and took the win by .6 seconds Go Jadrice! You da man! Now get that can of whoop azz out!

He did just that! Now I get to race against him in Blytheville. I hope I can keep it close

He only won because another driver screwed up, that's the real story. Haha, at least that's what the announcer said. I can assure you that was not the case.

Very nice nick and jay. You guys were fast as hell out there.

As is obvious, I really was having trouble on day 1. There were a bunch of subtle differences with the car I couldn't get used to quickly enough plus that course forwards killed the AP1, I kept coming out of corners just a little out of VTEC. It was definitely a transitional course the first day just due to slippery surface and no real places to put down power. Plus I just wasn't driving well. I went into my third run totally dirty and decided just to go for something for sure clean and not terribly slow so that I had a chance of trophying the second day and I did that. Also what's not seen there is I had the really crappy situation where I had what felt like a very fast clean second run that I got red flagged on at the finish, but I nudged a couple cones on the rerun so oh well, that kind of stuff happens.

Then today I had the fastest STR run of the day...but not by enough to make up for being way behind the first day. I actually was third overall after that run but then two people sped up a little bit and Steve and I got bumped just outside of the trophies. The AP1 was great for the course in reverse, I would have been on the rev limiter a bunch with the AP2.

Oh and by the way, that Z3 is pretty well prepped and the driver is fast.

Thanks again Steve for letting me drive the car, I probably would have missed it otherwise.

Wiped out the finish cones due to lack of rear grip on day 1. The tires that I used were take-offs from Marc to be used at local events, so they were not OPR scrubbed, and Nick and I was fighting a loose rear end all day. I cleaned up just the rear tires with the heat gun and a putty knife for day 2, and it really brought the rear tires back to life... We had decent grip at that point, and Nick and I decided to let loose on course

My third run would have been a blazing run, if my first gear downshift didn't get screwed up twice in the same corner, literally coasting until I was able to finally get it into first, but I was out of the corner at that point..UGH... Good times though. I went up not expecting much out of that event, and was just using it as downtime to just have some fun.... Nick stole the show on day 2, out-rawing SS by at least a tenth, and most likely got top pax for the day. Amazing driver

Jadrice,

It was nice meeting you, thanks for your tips on the course, I was going to try 1st gear but I saw your last run and decide to stay in second.
My car felt ok but I did not have the same grip as my last event, I was also having trouble on the slaloms, the car was getting really loose. I may play with the suspension to see if that helps. I also made too many mistakes in every single run on both days that cost me a lot of time… fortunately, I run with Chris (MR2) and James (MX-5) every weekend so I can measure the improvements.

Man, I ended up not getting a chance to talk to a lot of people I wanted to meet during this event, I meant to come over and say hi but never got to it. We were definitely having the loose rear problem too. We took out compression all around for the second day and that helped a lot. The test and tune didn't have all the bumps, so we had turned it up quite a bit based on that, and that was the wrong choice. That was definitely part of our problem on day 1.

Jadrice - where were you guys downshifting? At the turnaround before the long slalom (before the slalom the 2nd day, after the long slalom on first day)?

I wouldn't have thought the AP2 would need to downshift there the 2nd day, even in the AP1 I only had maybe half a second of not being in VTEC coming out of that without downshifting.

I had a great time working heat 3 and watching STR duke it out. Great courses! Wish the pavement was better. I bent a part that locates the axle on the f-mod car on my first run Saturday because of the bumps. That caused an issue with chain tension, that resulted in my co-driver tossing the chain on his first two runs Saturday. We managed to fix it for Sunday and the car held together despite skipping like a stone on a pond across the rough pavement. Managed to hang in for a 3rd place finish out of 10.
