Default drag racing suspension help

hey guys, i need some advice on suspension.. ive been setting my s2k up for dragracing for about the last year and i cannot get the car to hook at all, i think my suspension is the issue. i have a full set of tein circuit masters on the car and it will not hook on street tires, or slicks and becomes very dangerous.. the car gets squirly on the track above 100 and its like riding on ice skates on the slicks. I recently called inline pro and they reccomended installing a stock suspension on the car... is there any specific year oem suspension that will work better for drag racing? the MT et drags are set at 12 psi and it just roasts them.. even with a smokey burnout.

I doubt you're going to get very many responses here since none of us drag race. Having said that, it sounds like you have at least two different problems.

My understanding of drag setup is that you want a relatively soft rear end to allow the car to squat and the tires to hook up during the launch. If that's the case (and I wouldn't take my word for it), then you went in the wrong direction by installing stiffer springs and shocks.

Do a search for different years' spring rates, but I think you're overanalyzing -- they'll all be significantly softer than your current setup, and the differences between them are not huge.

Unless you have a 500 hp forced induction monster, your tires should be completely hooked up by the time you're doing 100, which suggests either an alignment problem or an aero problem.

I just noticed you cross-posted this to no fewer than four forums, so I'm locking this thread.
