No, I'm pretty sure that the driver's inspiration must have been the classic Monty Python sketch "Twit Olympics," where upperclass twits compete in a multi-stage race for the coveted title "Upperclass Twit of the Year." There is a sportscar driving portion of the competition where the goal is to reverse over an old lady standing behind the car. One of the twit competitors successfully distinguishes himself in the sportscar part of the competition by somehow running over himself with his own sportscar.



In all seriousness, thank God that dope was at least wearing a helmet because it looks like that's about all that is keeping the car from crushing his skull at the end there.
