driving without front swaybar
quick question.
has anyone driving their s2000 without ANY front swaybar?
Why would one want to? they wouldn't but circumstances may necessitate me doing this for a period of time.
I suppose it could further increase oversteer/snap oversteer issues.
BTW I am actually just talking about daily non-spirited driving. I would not autoX without some swaybar.
also, wasn't sure where to post this, but figured here would be the best place to get an educated response.

You're not going to go careening into a 1080 degree spin the first time the wheel is turned off center in the parking lot, but it's probably not a good idea to push the car too hard without it. Guaranteed oversteer at the limit.
I drove back from Wendover UT, to San Francisco then down to San Diego with no front swaybar. This included a run through some twisty mountain roads; the car was fine, even with near-bald R compounds and sometimes damp roads.
Just be careful, know you're operating with a less than ideal setup. If you wad up the car it's not my fault!

thanks,
that is EXACTLY the answer I was looking for. I was hoping this was the case, but figured one of you racing gurus would know for sure.
of course, now is the time that Uncle Murphy reminds us of the wisdom of your sig.

Mine came off at the petersburg Pro without knowing it untill I had some rather unusual oversteer. They didn't give lap times but on my 2nd lap in the challenge round when I was expecting the car to be loose I managed to match my oponents time. I then Drove the car from Raliegh NC to Orlando FL on race tires in the rain, in the middle of the night (very tired) and sometimes exceeding the speed limit by almost double. SHHHHH, and another week on the street with no front sway bar before I discovered what the problem was. So trust me when I say, You'll be fine and you likely won't even notice it missing.
