Extended lug studs, longer than ARP?
I got the ARP 100-7713's installed this weekend. They have a knurl diameter of .509, compared with the stock .486. Luckilly, I had a spare hub to test with. The new studs would not press into the stock hub without alteration. Maybe they would have if I kept at it, but I was building up more pressure than I felt comfortable with on my press, and they had only moved around 1/32 of an inch. I tried opening up the mounting hole to 31/64ths with similar results, so I tried opening the next hole up to 1/2 inch, which seemed to do the trick nicely. The knurl length is slightly longer, and extends through the hub, but does not look like it will cause any issues. I test-fitted a rotor and wheel and everything seems to work together with no problems. So, here's a finished hub after drilling the mounting holes out to 1/2 inch and pressing in the GM-sized studs.
