The greatest quote I've ever read came from a piece on Ayrton Senna and helps you begin to grasp the depth of his talent and genious.

If you aren't familiar with F1 two seconds is usually the split between 1st and 15th. It's NEVER the split between 1st and 2nd. It can be argued that this man was the greatest driving talent ever to walk the planet.

After a IROC race at a super speedway a few years ago, one of the non- NASCAR drivers complained about the amount of bumping going on during the race. Bill Elliott told a reporter after he heard about the complaint "If he didn't want to swap a little paint, what's he doing out there?" I loved that.
