Feedback on Gendron/Small Fortune Racing Sway Bar

Sometime after Nationals, I'm having a custom speedway style front swaybar built for the car. Not because the Saner that I have doesn't work - I'm just sick of the noise (I still drive my car on the road a lot), and I'm hopeful that maybe I can get something lighter weight to accomplish the same task. Target is going to be a "base" rate that's the same stiffness as my Saner on its middle position, and options to make it stiffer from there.
Thanks to that swaybar rate calculator that (I think) Orthonormal posted in another thread, we should be able to get pretty close.
Question. Is it considered legal to remove the factory L-brackets, and replace them with something stiffer/stronger/different? I've read the solo rules a lot of times now, and that's the one piece that remains unclear to me.

Looks like I'll be paying Gendron a visit soon.
Nick, this is Tony from the NER Devens event a couple weeks back. Are you coming to Devens again for future NER events?

I would love to get your feedback, but more on the 245/275 combo on an AP1. If you start that thread, I will subscribe to it as well as the other thread on that combo. It might be a set I'll try for 2009. Best of luck with this setup!

:Cliff notes: FTD, #1 Pax time, 1 second victory in A Stock vs a prepped C4 Vette on Hoosier A6's.
Results: http://www.cartct.com/08-24-08.shtml
My setup: Gendron FSB Solid, Full Stiff
Hoosier A6's 245/275, 36 PSI hot pressure
Alignment; Front 1/8" Toe Out, Max Caster, -1.6' camber
Rear 1/8" Toe In, -1.7' (Could go to almost -2 on right rear, but 1.7' was max on the left rear. So we kept it equal side to side)
More details, pics, and feedback coming tomorrow night!
