First Autocross Last Weekend
I had my first autox in the new-to-me s2000 last Saturday. Only 14 Drivers due to cold, rainy weather. The course was wet in the AM and dried for the afternoon session. We happily got 10+ runs, 5-6 in the morning and then again in the afternoon. I'm on Hankook V12 Evo's, which I have very nice things to say about. I had them set at 38/36 F/R, this spiked about 2-3lbs as they got hot. I'm set-up with the UK alignment specs and had excellent tire wear through the event. I also have a Megan Single Exit. I set FTD and won PAX - the RX8 retired early due to fueling/oiling issues, the 350z Nismo wasn't well driven. The biggest competition was from a built autocross escort and a rally-prepped WRX wagon (which was very well driven).

The STR multiplier is .836 and BS is .839 so I guess it didn't matter too much.
Sounds like the club you're running in is a little green. You may find a better challenge and more driving / setup help if you go to a nearby, better populated club. Where are you located?
Each club can do whatever it wants to with rules, but technically speaking B-stock can only use wheel sizes (within 6mm offset) of the particular model of your car. So 16" wheels for AP1s. You might want to check out the SCCA rules off their website for more complete rules.
Some clubs will have a "T" multiplier for stock classes to account for the lack of R-compund tires. That brings tha "TBS" PAX down underneath STR and closer to STX (depending on if they use a 0.980 or 0.975 multiplier on top of the "B-class" multiplier).
Regardless, your wheels bump you out of stock class.

not my "first," but my first in the s, this is season 3 autocrossing for me. thanks!
i've had several miata and a solstice gxp. so rwd cars aren't too out of the ordinary, I do miss my ES Miata! i'll run STR at the next event. And this is West Michigan region, there was a competing club event in west michigan that day. this one just happened to be 10 minutes from my house rather than 90 minutes. The other club uses SCCA rules, but isn't formally affiliated. I'm just there for fun, I'm not a nationals "go-er." I've been to a few Detroit Region events, they have "T" classes as their membership is big enough to warrant it.
