Default First HPDE.

I just received an e-mail from a friend who went to his very first HPDE this past weekend. It was also his very first time ever on a track, though the man is a highly competative autocrosser. The e-mail has more than a bit of an adult tone to it, which generally isn't my style, but since R&C is for mature racers and autocrossers I'm assuming (and hopefully not making an ass out of myself in the process) that you've all grown up enough to get past the sexual connotations. Also, I felt that sharing this might prompt some of the guys who are on the fence to get busy and arrange some HPDE's or track days.

The following is for "mature audiances" only.

I'm guessing he went to Roebling Road?

I had to look at the post to see if he'd said.
In looking at it agin the comments about the Datyona Coupe and Exige S caught my eye.
Both the author and "Bender" were driving autocross XP MIATA's!

I have been trying to get the guy who wrote the e-mail to track his car for four years now, so I guess I should just be thankful that they weren't both bored to death.

Tracking your car is fun. Really, really fun.

But...

It doesn't hold a candle to real wheel-to-wheel racing.

LOL, that's more or less what I said in response to the e-mail.

Tripper told me he was bringing the Elise. I guess he changed his mind?

I'd really, really, really like to try to get up to SC in July.

Having just done my first two W2W races I concur. If HPDE is a 9 out of 10, w2w is a 50.

LOL, I don't really know. I thought he was taking Thunder so he and Bender would be in comparable cars, but since TC changes his mind so often I'll just claim that he told me one thing and then changed his mind later, and even he won't know the difference.
j/j

I really don't know which car he took.
