I really doubt you're going to notice any issues with OEM pads first time out. Just make sure there's over 50% left and that your brake fluid looks good.

Otherwise. 10/8's.

If you go with carbotech or colbalt make sure you clean the rotor surface or resurface or the pads will act like they are on glass.

You should always get new rotors when using new race pads. Pads and rotors should be replaced simultaneously for best results.

There's nothing worse than being on track with faded pads. Not only is it unsafe but, it'll ruin your day. You're going to spend decent money on the event. I wouldn't let pads get in the way. Get the XP10/XP8's and you'll not have to worry for the full day. Even if you ONLY get the 10's in the front, you'll still have a good time with no brake issues.

Does NJMP require a rollbar? My home track summit doesn't. Hell, you don't even need to wear a shirt to run at summit and the rental helmets are like bicycle helmets.

I bought my Carbotech XP10/8's and centric rotors directly from them. Call 877-899-5024 and ask to speak to Mike, Jr. Tell him Wynn from Nashville sent you

It's West Virginia, 1/2 assed things are to be expected. I wear a real helmet and long sleeves but, I'm not required to. I just wish their tech inspection was better. Sometimes you get these old POS cars out there and you KNOW they're going to be dumping fluids before the end of the day. I just avoid them if I can.

Speaking only for myself, I've never had any issues just throwing HP+, XP8', or XP10 pads in the calipers, without replacing, resurfacing or even cleaning the rotors.
