It as my first track day ever had a great time car performed very well. Im hooked and will be attending alot more track days . thanks to this forum I was over prepared and my setup was good for a first time out . After i got my tire pressures right i was really feeling good.
Looks like you were running with SCDA? They're a good group, I'm just disappointed their June NJMP 2-day was cancelled. Nice to see someone tracking their GT-R as well...those things move like you wouldn't believe.
Which roll bar is that? It looks good.

It typically only takes one track day to get hooked
Is that a harddog roll bar? Do you have any pictures of fitment/interior?
What's your current set up (brakes, tires) and how did you like them?
I always try to learn something from each event, it makes me feel good looking back and seeing progress. What did you learn during this event?

It's a nice bonus to have an instructor familiar with the specific car you're driving.

More pics of the roll bar.
We cheated the diagonal bar over just enough to be able to use the secret compartment. The bar will accept a Y harness bolted to tabs on the rear down legs seeing as a harness bar would be too close ot the center of the car to fit 2 wrap around belts. If we decided to rip the car apart and put a full cage in it, we'd have a damn good jump start on it.
Technically the bar isnt 100% legal but it does have 6" pads and is 1.75x.125 wall DOM tube and fits high enough that Ryan has about 1.5" of the bar over his helmet. Its a very strong piece and everyone at the event seemed to think it was awesome. The roll hoops are out, we are going to fill the holes with some custom made trim pieces. Other than losing a little seat room its a pretty sweet setup. The visible joints were precision fit and tig welded, the plates ended up mig welded just because we used the mig to tack the bar to the plates at the time.

I was at this event also. (I was the other s2k silap1). I was awful session 1 (first time out this year) but it was coming back and I improved the rest of my sessions. You looked good out there in your sessions. Your instructor is a great instructor. I had him last year. I am not enough of a track junkie (yet!) to know if the bar is legal 02fpcivic but I thought the quality of the roll bar looked great. I will be going to July 23 NHMS, did they give you a pass to int 1 so you can attend?
yes Ian sent me an email and said i can attend so ill be there july 23rd . The bar is 100% legal for a roll bar , if i was to go to a full cage we would have to change the rear bars and plates. I just hope im fast enough to not get run off the track in int1. We will see . Thanks for the compliments, your car looked pretty fast to me , how you like the brakes .
