Default First track experience with Performance box

I decided to get the Performance Box from Race Logic because it is easy to install and use and cost.

On Friday I had issues getting the unit to get a a good lock. Leaving the unit on the roof of the car before the run for 10-15 min did nothing. In the end, I figured out that the unit needs to be cold started a few times (3-5) before it worked correctly. In spite of my efforts, I only had good data on three sessions out of 8 or so.

The software was a little difficult to work, but after loading up a bunch of files I've got it figured out. Now all I need to do is be more deliberate with trying new lines or gear selections and remembering what lap that was on so I can look at the data before I forget.

Here's my fastest lap at Mid America Motorplex in IA (1:49.7sec)

Very nice, have you learned anything from your data?

Did you consider the Drift Box? I think the only difference is an added yaw rate sensor.

Taking written notes helps with that a lot. Video helps with that immensely.

How much is the entire kit? Also, where do you get it from?

Thanks!

It runs $500 for the drift box, an SD card and power cable from here.

I have some video, but due to driver error, there were times when I'd "stop" the camera and find that I actually started it. DOH!

I now have a wired remote for my video system. It has an LED that shows me at a glance whether the video is recording ot not.

Are you stock geared? Your shift point seems like it is at 102? I redline shift at 98 in my AP2.
