Fist Track event in the S....
im going to be taking my 2000 S to thunderhill next month for a HPDE event. just purchased the car not too long ago. items im going to have on the car before the event will be as followed:
225/50/16 and 245/45/16 RA1's unshaved, will have them on the car about a week before the track day.
Hawk HPS+ front and rear pads
Goodridge lines+super ate blue fluid
keeping the same rotors with 45K miles on them, good idea?
any advice you guys can give me on what elses i can do to the car? my miata buddies told me to remove the rear sway bar, yah or nay? alignment?
this is going to be my 5th track event over the past 6-7 years. 1 in my mr2 turbo first, then 1 in my g35, and lastly 2 in my evo. so im not a newbie, but also not experienced by far.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My recommendation is pretty much what you'll hear from the others around here...relax and track the car as close to stock as possible before you decide what *else* you want to do.
The brake pads should be OK for this event. One comment on your tire selection...you can probably expect increased oversteer bias from the reduced stagger (assuming you don't have a bigger front sway or some other supporting mod). If this is the case and you have acceptable street tires in the right stagger (205/225 for S-02s, 205/245 else) then I would recommend going with those over the 225/245 RA-1s without supporting mods.
Most importantly...have fun and don't wreck your car

I notice in a lot of your pictures that you don't have rollbars for track events.
Who runs these events and do they run any events in Canada?
Most clubs I look into require a roll bar...
