Default Forced Air Helmets

So I'm not gonna lie, I've only been to the track once and I don't know about you guys but the smell makes me a little queezie, gas fumes make me yak (seriously).

I was looking for a forced air helmet, thats the easy part, there are plenty. But where would you get your air from that wouldn't smell like that S2K running pig ritch infront of you? yuk Or if you guys have any other ideas I'd appreciate it, we even had the top down. You can even post what you do to help this issue if your feeling the same. Thanks!!

I'd say that if you don't like the smell of the track then I wouldn't be making a big investment in a helmet. The air comes from the outside.

Maybe he can buy a bunch of those little cans of compressed air. Or some SCUBA gear.

But, yeah... if you don't like the smell, the best way to avoid it is to stay away. Maybe your body is trying to tell you something.

I love that gas, rubber, brake pad, burning smell maybe you should go to the scenic route thru the hill instead of a track.

I do not own a helmet. Nor have I ever tracked my car. But my 2cents.

Is it possible to place a carbon filter in the air vents? Carbon should take away some of the smell.

Actually, if you go to the Home Depot, they now have some of those paper dust masks with activated charcoal embedded in the paper. It would be tight, but it might fit under a closed-face helmet.

Wear a balaclava soaked in your favorite perfume while racing.

I prefer to wear a baklava under my helmet. The smell of the nuts and honey really cuts through all the other odors. And when I'm done for the day, I have a tasty snack.

It's a good thing I don't have much hair, though. It would be pretty tough to comb later on.
