Shit man, that car looks nice. Beautiful job. Love the fuel cell. Funny, I get wood seeing someone else gutting the interior and welding in a roll cage to make their S2000 track-only, but I could never do it to my baby. She's not just my daily driver, she's my only car now. PLEASE keep us updated with pictures of your race car as she progresses.

I am interested in the details and part number of the fuel cell. Why did you select that fuel cell. It looks like ATL has a number of others.
I am interested in installing one in the car I am going to build, so your timeing could not be better. So please share what drove you to this solution and any issues that you faced. The isntallation looks very clean. Thanks jeff |

Took some thought, measuring, research and fabrication.
I have already discussed putting a kit together, it would pretty much bolt in except for cutting out the stock sheet metal over OEM tank. Entire subframe was already removed, so had access from below. I wanted max capacity, this is the largest standard size available that will fit in the factory space between frame without more drastic undesirable surgery. This went in from below, and had to, as this size cannot clear my pre-existing cage. if you didn't have cage, or cut and rewelded existing cage, it could be done from above. Or a smaller cell that would fit through your cage could be used. Ashish, what do u think it looks like from below??? GOT SEAM WELD?! few extra pic of insane amount of seam welding of every possible part of the chassis, firewall bars, shock gussets and control arm brackets boxed/gussets tacked up. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...ef69dc98fe.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...69837133b0.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.s2k...a5e2035000.jpg whoops, thought i had more, other pics, can post later. oh Derek.....yoo hoo....MUHAHAHAJAJAJAHAAAAAAAAAA! |
