Also how prepped are you bringing him the car? There can be a fair amount of labor involved in removing all the interior crap.
Like I said in the first post.

"It depends on exactly what it includes."

wait. It can or can not be steep. If the guy is tig'ing the cage then its not unreasonable. It probably takes 3x as long to tig a cage as it does to mig one. Mig can just be strong.

Talk to TC Design, he's done a ton of s2k cages.

All the interior is gone except dash. The doors still have the glass and the sheet metal that need to be cut out.

Please PM me with details. My old GFL bar will suffice for the rest of this year, but I think a cage is a good offseason project.

D.C. area. He just built the cage for the NASA Spec 3 BMW. I'm looking forward to having him build my next cage in whatever car I get in the next few months.

He started off as a custom volvo suspension guy but is quickly getting recognized for building some very very nice cages. Couple shots from the Spec 3 that he just did.

Link to the build on bimmerforums Linky

I haven't seen that car but i've seen his other work and it's very impressive. I know the guys at Grassroots saw the car this past weekend at hyperfest and said it was quite impressive.

Web site is an unspellable www.kaplhenke.com

He's only going to clear that cage, right? I love the way polished tubes look.

Lol, I'll request clearcoat on my cage. It would ruin it to paint it black or white.

Is he in the DC area too? RRT is in the DC area as well. I think they build some of the best cages around. Here is Barry's partial tube frame mod cage.

after reading about TIG vs MIG......Tiging is the way to come. sounds like a much nicer cleaner weld.

L-con says 2200-2800 depending on the prepp........with X doors.....doesnt sound too bad....I need to see some of their work and decide then.
