Default Full containment seat for the S

I am in need of a new seat. The Sparco Ergo looks like it will fit me and the track car. Here is a link. http://www.sparcousa.com/product/ergo

I currently have an Evo 2 (currently the Evo II US as I am told by Sparco)

Anyone sit in one of these yet? Fit one in an S?

Thanks

That's a pretty cool looking seat! I like the detachable wings!

Off topic, I'm wondering when they'll release a "Sparco Ego" seat. Maybe they can offer Ferrari and Lambo crests stitched in the headrest...

They don't have the dimensions up?
Looks very similar to the Pro ADV, which was a tight fit when I had the chance to try it out. My guess is it'll fit, but the shoulders will rub. Of course if you have the panels removed then I doubt that'll be a problem.

No, they don't have them up. My car is caged and fully stripped. I am less worried about it fitting in the car and more worried about how I fit in the seat.

The Ergo is the newest seat to join the Sparco line up. It incorporates a removable DTC head protections system. The Ergo has an innovative shell design that incorporates the use of special materials to produce a shell that is both light-weight and rigid. The non-slip fabric in the shoulders and lower cushion provide maximum grip. The Ergo also has an anatomic lower cushion and backrest with high breathability fabric for added comfort. The CAD design ensures a perfect fit with drivers by offering 3 different sizes. The Ergo is FIA approved
Looks like they have three different sizes of seat, so it's a good bet you'll have one that fits you. Seems like something you'd be able to call and ask tech support at Sparco about, no?

I'm 6' 2" 230 and I don't know if I could get in and out of my caged S2000 with a full containment seat because I slide in and out of the rear part of the door opening. How easy do the "wings" come off?

Another consideration, either the base model or the XL version depending on driver size.

OP; I do not have the seat you are looking at, but I do have a Recaro Pro Racer Hans XL, installed in my caged and stripped car. Not an easy fit, but do-able.

This is the link to the technical specs, which have the measurements: http://www.recaro-automotive.com/us/...l.html#c100046

You can compare these to the Sparco specs when you get them, as a reference point, to see if the Sparco seat will fit.

And yes I have the XL version. I was able to sit in the regular version (specs available at the same site above), but the XL fit way better. For reference I'm 6'0", 195 Lbs, 48 Suit Jacket, and 36" waist.

Goes without saying, if Sparco has 3 sizes, maybe best to try them out

I have the Cobra Evolution Pro GT (big boy version) and it just barely fits in the car... If you are a smaller driver the standard version is an inch narrower and probably would fit no problem...
