49.11 with VSA off. I spun on one of the wide turns, but otherwise things went well. I am worried because my ride along told me that because I did not press the clutch during the spin, I could have damaged my transmission. I don't think I rolled backward, but the car stalled and I had done a 180. Any input on this?
We've spun dozens of times. Probably more. At the speeds you were at, not a problem. Just try to put "both feet in" next time.

No worries. If that was the case then virtually every manual transmission racing car in the world would have a damaged tranny.

The engine stalled because it's directly connected to the the rear wheels. As soon as the rear wheels stopped rotating, it stalls the engine. An analogy would be letting the clutch out from a standstill without any throttle input. Stall.

If you did roll backwards no worries either. Analogy is letting the clutch out when trying to push start the car.

Exactly which corner did you spin on?
After the 180 hairpin, there is a straight where the chicane used to be, and then the long sweeping turn where I spun out. A a lot of other people either spin or understeer on it.

Yes, I know where you are talking about. Interestingly, that long sweeping mild right turn is where my car feels the most stable on the track. I never have issues there, but I've seen many people over and understeer off the track there. Perhaps it's because I've increased my rear tire size relative to my fronts (from 205/225 to 225/255).

The chicane that you can see in the video of Charles...I've never actually seen them put that up. I think they may have used it a year or two ago.
