Default Going to the drag strip tomorrow

Im going to the drag strip tomorrow to see what my s2000 can do. This with most likely be the only time I go with the car so dont hate on me too much

I have 245's in the rear with Toyo Proxes T1R's, a comptech SC w/front mount pushing 5.2psi. What kind of 60 foots should I shoot for? This is my first RWD car

shoot for or will you do? if you can get a 2.0 your doing well. 1.4 and they will tow you off the line

im guessing that you will get a 2.1-2.3. A good launch would be in the 1.8-1.9 range

You should shoot for 1.9-2.0's with T1R's. Make sure you lower your rear tire pressures, you'll just spin at 32 PSI. I used to cut 1.7-1.8 in my FWD cars on drag radials.

well. Due to my stock clutch slipping. I could only manage a 2.2 as my lowest. Highest trap speed was 105.5, and my 1/4 was 13.9.

pretty bad i know. But with a clutch and a launch, id be able to hit mid-low 13's all day

Yep, with a 106 trap and a 1.9 60 foot that should get you very close to the 12's.

to the 12s?? no not hardly, i was supercharged with a 1.9 60 foot trapping 108s and the best i could do was a 13.1.

to the op what mods do you have done to your car? and where are you elevation wise?

btw a 2.2 is average with S.

13.1-13.2 is pretty close to 12's. Also 2.2 is pretty bad for a RWD car with LSD, I was pulling 2.2's when I had a 176 whp 1.6L civic with open diff on 195/60/14 H rated factory firestones. Same with a 92 SE-R with LSD tranny and some all seasons.

you canot compare those fwd cars to an s2k. total different class. But i do agree taht a 2.2 is HORRIBLE.

All i have done is the Comptech kit with the front mount. A removed resonator in the stock exhaust, and NGK BKR6E plugs gapped at .034.

I can hear clicking near the back of my car. Im not to sure where it is comming from, but i need to do some research about it.
