Going to MIR
Was hoping the weather would have cooled down some by late October, but doesn't look like that's the case. Went to MIR before and ran a G35c I had, but it was the dead of summer and very hot. G35c did 14.3@98 btw.
So this time I'll be in the s2000
Hopefully it won't rain this sunday.
Looks like 4th maxes out at 98? So I'm going to have to go all the way to 5th huh? In the g35 only had to do 3 shifts
I noticed after 3 runs the g35 had considerable heat soak and I consistenly got 14.6 for the rest of the day. Hoping to avoid that in the s2000 by giving it alot of cooldown time.
It also sounds like launching at 5500 is the best bet? But I'm almost too scared to keep launching it for more than 3 runs.

Wow, such a bad day. I went last saturday. I woke up very late (long night) and didn't arrive there until about 3:30. Immediately noticed the loooong lines and knew I was pretty screwed.
Immediately lined up and made it up to the front, then they opened lanes 5 and 6 for all the pro cars. Took like half an hour to prep the track, then another half hour to run all the cars.
Then I finally got my first run - 14.2 @ 98, with a 2.1 60' So no biggie, it's just a first run, second will be better.
Second run I'm staging and this funny car is doing it's massive frickin burnout in the other lane. Something gets spilled so they close the track for about 15 minutes. I'm just sitting there, waiting for them to clean the track, while in the left lane and pretty much staged. It opens back up and the funny car does another burnout. So yeah, pretty intimidating with this frickin loud ass funny car next to you totally blows your concentration.
Light goes green and that sucker is gone, like in the blink of an eye or something I was so distracted I f'd up the 1st to second shift and there goes the run.
By now it is 5:30 and the track is going to close in half an hour.
Worst $30 I spent, but it is my fault that I didn't get there right when it opened like I did last time.
