Look what just opened up next to me:

Joined today and won my first race during lunch. Think I'll be spending a lot of time there.

That's how the Schumacher's learned. Their parents owned a go-kart track in Germany.

Based on only the one session it seems it should help. Left foot braking only!!! Scary-fast corners entering and leaving the front straight, testing cajones. Lots of trail-braking corners. This was only my second time to karting and first indoors, but this one felt incredibly similar to the track technically. Maybe it's the asphalt surface, or maybe it's because my car handles like a kart.
Was fun to see the on the faces of the other guys who were half my age after I spanked them.

It may or may not make you faster in a street or race car on a full scale race track, but I firmly believe that you will learn and or better your car control. Although these indoor karts are much different from your S, I believe the skills you learn in the karts will transfer over to a bigger car.

Like I say, these karts may not help you go faster in your S, but good car control is a very good thing. P.S. stay out of the kitty litter

Try to brake less, it will reduce your lap times on the kart track.

Are you allowed to trail-brake while keeping your foot on the gas (to keep the revs up)? At most indoor karting places, the motor will make popping noises and the marshalls will give you warnings. Some places will even shut down your motor from the control tower if you continue doing it.

We trailbrake and left foot brake bigtime at our place. They don't say a thing although the carts protest a bit

Richard's place has electric motors, doubtful they'd be able to tell at all.
