Default Good source for STACK clusters?

I was looking at the ST8100 and ST8130, was wondering which would be best for track duty as street legality isn't that important. I believe both have lap timing capability as well as lap time predicatability not to mention data logging and such...anyone?

I never checked out www.stackinc.com before.

From the looks of it the 8130M is what you want, provided it come with the analysis software. You got to have the lap time predictability, that feature is just so awesome. Unfortunately it appears that these "Street" systems dont come with the analysis software. At least i could find no mention of it for that series of displays. The 8102SP at $3200 does seem to come with the analysis SW. I do see tho that the SW is available seperatly, tho no price is listed.

I would say that having the analysis SW is critical. When a bunch of us ran the Darek Daily school last December it was their Stack SW that made all the difference. After each session we sat down with our intsructor and using the SW we went over the entire session and could easily see the things we did right as well as the things we did wrong.

I was doing some reseach at the site, it was a bit confusing like you mentioned, they list options for the basic units but no pricing. Technically, you can have the ST8130 and add all those options. Now where to get pricing.

The stack units seem to be the top choice for an instrument cluster, gets rid of all the tacky guages all over the place and makes things a lot easier with warning lights.

the ADL is nice but I prefer an analog tach over digital.

Those meters are really nice... The center analog tach is lots easier to read and less distracting than digital bars or an offset tach.

Vapor - if you ever need a specification on an input to the meter or output from the meter to get something to work let me know... I don't really want to post where I work (I probably have before so you can search maybe if you wanted to) but if you PM me we can chat.

One other thing I find interesting... if you have a serious performance question and want real feedback on something, the motorsports forum on any board seems to be the place to get good answers. If you posted this on the general forum you'd get 50 replies of "those are badass" or something to that effect.

I meant the stock sensors or speed inputs engine or vehicle... not too complicated in general but sometimes there are some details you need to know

I'm an EE so maybe I could be of some help on that front too if you just have general questions I'm sure there are a few of us around here though. I deal with engine sensors at work so I'm kind of familiar with some of the stuff you'll probably deal with.

If you're looking for a source for them, I've got a guy that gets me everything for my Subaru and S... got me the Spoon rims in 3 days, JDM JIC 505 Ti exhaust for the Subaru when it wasn't even close to being available here... by JAL cargo. He's had a couple S2000's. His name is Adam and he owns Z1 auto. You can send him an email at z1sales@z1auto.com. Tell him Nate sent you.

I've inquired about a Stack meter for the Subaru before and he said no problem getting them.

Have you guys looked at the Mychron3 systems?

They are incredibly affordable for what they provide.

We should be able to get a group buy going if there are 5 or so people interested.
