Gutted Interior Question!
I know many of you guys, have gutted S2k's so please reply to this question.
If I gut my interior (like Krazik for example) I will destroy the cars balance (50-50) to 70-30. Then the rear becomes lighter than the front, and I think that I will have some oversteer problems.
Is that true?
Thanks

I'm sure it throws off the weight distribution a bit, but the no-interior guys make changes to the suspension in order to fine tune the car's balance to their liking.

I wouldn't think that it would be a problem. When you gut the interior, all of that weight is between the axles, so it shouldn't throw the balance off too much. Plus, if you're serious enough to gut the interior, you'll be adding a cage which will add some weight back in. And you'll probably also be removing non-essentials like A/C and things under the hood that will remove weight from the front of the car.
Add a functional rear spoiler, have the car corner-weighted... you should be OK.

is that 55/45 with driver? with rollcage? with hardtop?
Just curious.... I forget what my corner weighing was.
My car is down to 2435 or so with no fuel (minimal fuel) with full rollcage, hardtop & a 10lb fire extinguisher.
