That's not the important part.... Or at least not the moneymaker.

have you tried an HJC helmet? i did a lot of shopping for a helmet brand when i needed a new one. they say there are 2 helmet shapes... the arai and the shoei... i came from an arai helmet. my brother a shoei..

we both felt the HJC was comfortable, tho he hasnt purchased one yet. my hjc is one of the lightest helmets ive ever worn, fits great, has the ear cut outs and super affordable. all HJC motorsport sa2010 helmets come with predrilled holes for hans devices. some of the sa2005s did, some did not.

i dont recall the dates.. but reinforcemed areas for the hans devices became mandatory for sa helmets. i believe it was a few years before sa2010 hit. so possibly late model sa2005s mfg after a certain date were required to have the reinforced areas.

Air flow isn't good on m helmets. They are designed for direct air. On a s helmet its better designed to breath inside a car

I may have tried HJC helmets when I was looking for something that fits my head. But they were M2010, almost no store carry car helmets around here (Dallas/Fort Worth, TX)... Next time I travel somewhere, I will look for specialized stores.

What are the reinforced area you are talking about? Are they the pre-drilled mounts of some SA2010 helmets? I have not seen an actual reinforcement (having in mind some extra material or thicker area where the posts are mounted) mentioned on any helmet manufacturer website, on the Snell website or on the HANS website.

By the way, I love the rollbar I bought from you Rockstar garage! Really nice product.

Saferacer is in Neosho Missouri, just off the side of the highway, if you ever head that way. I've used the manufacturer measurements and have not had a problem ordering a helmet that fits. Worst case, you pay shipping to return the helmet for a slightly larger/smaller size.
